The ski area

The pistes

Guzet offers 35 km of pistes across two north-facing slopes, guaranteeing quality snow throughout the season:

  • 12 green runs — ideal for beginners and families
  • 10 blue runs — enjoyable cruising on regular gradients
  • 9 red runs — for intermediate and advanced skiers
  • 4 black runs — including the formidable “Combe Noire” (700 m vertical, north face)

The sectors

Lower sector (1,400–1,700 m) Main resort base. Green and blue runs, secure beginner area, ESF ski school with group and private lessons.

Upper sector (1,700–2,100 m) Accessed by a 4-person chairlift. Exceptional panorama over the Ariège Pyrenees up to Montcalm (3,077 m, highest point in Ariège). Red and black runs.

Snow conditions

Guzet benefits from generous Atlantic snowfall thanks to its westerly exposure. The moderate altitude of the base (1,400 m) can weaken lower runs late in the season, but the north-facing upper slopes retain quality snow from December to April. A snowmaking network covers the link runs and base area.

Winter activities

  • Cross-country skiing: 15 km of groomed tracks from the Guzet plateau, forest setting
  • Snowshoeing: marked circuits from the resort and nearby villages (Seix, Oust)
  • Sledging: natural toboggan run without a ski pass
  • Snowmobiling: guided sessions on marked routes above the resort
